Distance no problem but we do not want soft ground were the sentiments from Goldebn Horn’s Jockey Frankie Dettori.

05/06/15 50/1 outsider wins incident packed Oaks.
Qualify the 50/1 outsider wins the third classic of 2015 by taking The Oaks today at Epsom Downs.
In a messy race with plenty of talking points Qualify stayed out of any trouble in running and took full advantage of some drama two furlongs out when Together Forever shifted slightly right and made contact with Jack Naylor who then moved off a straight line going right then left.
This also caused Together Forever to shift left bumping Diamondsandrubies which interfered with Star of Seville. This was investigated by the Stewards who were satisfied there was no riding offence.
The stewards did not take the same view of Ryan Moore’s ride which the they also investigated. The stewards found that Legatissimo had interfered with Lady of Dubai and found him guilty of careless riding and suspended him for 1 day.

01/06/15 Stalls no worry in UK for French trained Derby hope.
It looks as if French raider Epicurius will take his chance in the Derby on Saturday. This colt unbeaten as a two year old has had problems entering the stalls and refused to go in in the Prix Greffulhe.
He seems to have a Quirke that the connections believe can be overcome if he is led into the stalls by equine behavioural expert Nicolas Blondeau, however in his native France only official stalls handlers are allowed to assist at the stalls. The British rules are more relaxed on this point.
The horse has passed a stalls test so he is free to take part in the Derby.
01/06/15 Frankie Dettori is worried by stablemate in Derby.
Despite his mount Golden Horn being favourite for Saturdays classic Frankie admits that he is fearful of this stablemate Jack Hobbs. “We will see what happens Saturday” states the jockey.

05/03/15: Holywell No back number and fancied in the Gold Cup.
With A.P.McCoy choosing to ride Carlingford Lough, Richie McLernon gets the leg up on one of the leading fancies in the Cheltenham Gold cup.
Richie has ridden the horse on two occasions at the festival and BOTH have been winning ones.
In 2013 he won the Pertemps Final (handicap hurdle) and then last year he won the Baylis and Harding Affordable Luxury Handicap Chase beating the very smart Nicky Henderson horse Ma Filleule who later went to success at Aintree in the Topham chase.
Horses that do well at the festival often come back and do well again and despite the champion jockey choosing another over this horse I would say Holywell has an outstanding chance to make the frame and a good chance of lifting the gold!
05/03/15: Race Named in tribute to the best NH Jockey ever!
The A P McCoy Grand Annual Handicap Chase for the Johnny Henderson Challenge Cup will be the name given to the final race of this years festival in honour of the best NH jockey ever seen in the world.

05/03/15: Significant supplement for Ryanair.
The Ted Walsh trained Foxrock will be supplemented for the Ryanair chase on the festivals Thursday card.
Connections have said “He's still quite a young horse at the age of seven and going three and a quarter miles in a Gold Cup can leave a mark on a young horse like him.”
Foxrock has some really good form and as you can see from the comment they did think about The Gold Cup.
Foxrock’s only poor career run however was at last year’s festival in the Amateur riders novice chase (9th).
05/03/15: 12 Runners still in The Queen Mother Champion Chase on Wednesday.
Former winners Sire De Grugy and Sprinter Sacre both stand ground in the declarations for the big Wednesday race. There are 12 in the race which could be one of the most interesting races of the week. There is still some doubt about the leading two horses and there are some interesting runners left in the race.
27/02/15: Noel Fehily to ride Zarkandar.
Noel Fehily will ride leading contender Zarkandar in The Ladbroke World Hurdle
on the third day of the festival.
Noel has been the rider of choice for another of the runners Rock on Ruby on his last dozen or so races but as he explained he is contracted to the owners of
Zarkandar so he rides this one. He does not believe however that there is much between the form of the two horses.
27/02/15: Another Veterans race stepping stone to The Grand National for David Pipe Charge
David Pipe trained Soll is an interesting runner in the veterans chase tomorrow at Newbury. He got back to his winning ways in his first run for his new stable at Exeter earlier this month. Tom Scudamore was pushing him from early but he did oblige in the end winning by 4 lengths. His goal is a run in
The Grand National
of course but he looks like an interesting runner in the race and a good show will not harm his Aintree challenge where he has a great racing weight at the bottom with 10st 2lbs.
24/02/15: Nicholls pair now head the market in the long distance hurdle
More Of That has been withdrawn at the latest stage for the World Hurdle leaving the Paul Nicholls pair Zarkandar and Saphir Du Rheu leading the market.

How great would it be to see Sprinter Sacre back to his old form at the festival in two weeks’ time?
Still favourite for the race the horse will need to come on for his last run at Ascot where he finished 2nd His trainer states
the horse is "in seriously good shape” but of course he also warns that he can’t be sure that the horse is back to his best of two seasons
ago when he was simply unbeatable. Good ground would also help his cause so let’s pray for a dry spell up to the race.
19/02/15: All Champion Chase eyes on Chepstow this weekend!
Chepstow Saturday looks all set to have the Champion Chaser Sire De Grugy to run in a prep race.
The trainer stated "It looks like it's all systems go for Saturday, I've just got to speak to the owners." It will be all eyes on the Rifles Handicap Chase Supporting Care For Casualties Saturday as we all want to see good form this close to the big one at the festival. With the Queen Mum Champion chase being the fastest most competitive race on the card we need these champions to show their sparkle and to give us the spectacle we want to see. Can’t Wait!
19/02/15: Pipe hope for National Glory!
After Finishing 7th in the 2013 Grand National Soll
looks an interesting running in this year’s renewal. As an 8-y-o then he ran really well for most of the race before weakening two from home.
This giant of a horse has the right profile and has changed handlers this season and is now in the care of the famous Pipe Stable.
He made a winning return to form on the 8th of February over 3 miles at Pipe local course Exeter. Se to carry a very low 10st 2lbs
he needs 29 horse above him to come out. If he looks to be making the cut the 33/1 available now and the 50/1 available before the weights were announced could look very generous!
19/02/15: McCoy big race double too much to hope for!.
The 2015 Grand National

I wonder what McCoy would ride should the smart Carlingford Lough win the Gold cup and then go on to Aintree. A problem most jockeys I suspect would love to have.
19/02/15: McCoy big race double too much to hope for!.
It would seem that Tony McCoy believes Carlingford Lough "has a live chance" in the Gold Cup in a few weeks’ time. He has confirmed in a blog that this is his mount he said “So long as trainer John Kiely and JP McManus (owner) are happy with his condition then I will be aboard him on March 13”.

it would be a fitting end to any career a win in both races, but he will have to overcome the top weight in the Aintree spectacular!
