NUMBER FORM NAME AGE WEIGHT TRAINER JOCKEY RATING

1 P4115- Carole´s Destrier 7 11-12 Neil Mulholland Noel Fehily 149
A seven-year-old bay gelding trained by Neil Mulholland.
A nice improving chaser and past winner of the Bathwick tyres novices chase at Exeter around this time last year. He won that day by a good margin. He was then tried in the Welsh National where he was disappointing being pulled up.
After that he looked to improve and won a nice listed chase at Ascot by a good margin and another novice Chase at Wetherby soon after. He then went to the Aintree Festival and was again disappointing in the Mildmay's novices chase.
Looks an interesting prospect and should have improvement to come.
5 wins from 17 starts (three from seven in chases) on ground ranging from good through to heavy and up to a distance of 3 miles.

2 2/42P- Benvolio 8 11-8 Paul Nicholls nick Scholfield 145
An eight-year-old bay gelding trained by Paul Nicholls.
A nice horse was making steady progress without being spectacular in any way. His best performance so far was a short head second in the Coral Welsh National over 3 miles and 5 furlongs last December. A repeat of that form might give him a chance as he was staying on really well at the end. The problem I suppose here is that he often needs a run to put him right.
4 wins from 12 starts (two from eight in chases) on ground ranging from good through to heavy and up to a distance of 3 miles.

3 429-41 Drop Out Joe 7 11-6 Charlie Longsdon Aidan Coleman 143
A seven-year-old chestnut gelding trained by Charlie Longsdon.
A nice chaser who runs consistently but who often finds a few too good for him in the race.
He has started this season well with a win in a handicap chase at Chepstow on the 10th of October. He jumped well and travelled well throughout the race that day on good ground It was only a little shorter than this race today.
Will have to find a more improvement today but that would not be out of the question and has in-form jockey Aidan Coleman to help.
4 wins from 16 starts (two from seven in chases) on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 3 miles.

4 1U22-5 Theatrical Star 9 11-2 Colin Tizzard Brendan Powell 139
A nine-year-old bay gelding trained by Colling Tizzard.
A promising novice chaser who was not found life quite so easy coming out of novice company.
He had a pretty good season last year even though he only won once. It could be that the handicapper has his mark and that is why he is finding it so difficult to win.
6 wins from 31 starts (five from 21 in chases) on ground ranging from good through to heavy and up to a distance of 3 miles won a half furlongs.

5 2211-5 A Good Skin 6 11-0 Tom George Paddy Brennan 137
A six-year-old bay gelding trained by Tom George.
A nice horse coming from the point-to-point field.
He was only really moderate in his hurdle races but last season looked good when going novice chasing.
Has been running in much lower class of events and now takes a step up and today we should see what he's made of.
To wins from nine races (to from five in chases) on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 3 miles won a half furlongs.

6 4443-1 Forgotten Gold 9 10-13 Tom George Daryl Jacob 136
A nine-year-old bay gelding trained by Tom George.
A reasonably well exposed chaser he has found things difficult in the last two seasons. He started this season however with a really good win in a handicap Chase at Wincanton on October 25th. That was over 3 miles 2 furlongs he stayed on strongly jumped well and looked really good. A repeat of that form would give him a chance you are today.
4 wins from 25 starts (three from 19 in chases) on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 3 miles 2 1/2 furlongs.

7 112U7- Bertie Boru 8 10-12 Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson 135
An eight-year-old bay gelding trained by Philip Hobbs.
An interesting and progressive sort, in races lower than this standard. At the beginning of last year he took a step up in class and finished a good second in a handicap chase over 3 miles at Sandown even if he was a long way off the winner was the smart Unioniste.
He unseated Richard Johnson in his next race and then ran a middling sort of race in the Uttoxeter Midlands Grand National over 4 miles.
Improvement would have to come to win this but is one of the more interesting outsiders.
3 wins from 19 starts (three from 12 in chases) on ground ranging from good to soft through to heavy and up to a distance of 2 miles 6 1/2 furlongs.

8 428-03 Doing Fine 7 10-11 Rebecca Curtis Wayne Hutchinson 134
A seven-year-old bay gelding trained by Rebecca Curtis.
A reasonable chaser who would have to improve a fair bit on what we've seen so far to be involved at the business end of this race.
His winning form is in lower grade races than this but he should have improvement to come however he is probably best watched today.
To wins from 10 starts (one from seven in chases) on ground ranging from good to soft through to soft and up to a distance of 3 miles.

9 31P2- Monkerty Tunkerty 12 10-9 Jess Westwood Alice Mills 132
A 12-year-old bay gelding trained by Jess Westwood.
A nice 12-year-old with not many miles on the clock. A reasonable point to point chaser who was turned into a reasonable under rules chaser.
There is nothing really to suggest that he can win this race.
4 wins from 18 starts (for from 16 in chases) on ground ranging from good through to heavy and up to a distance of 3 miles 2 1/2 furlongs.

10 232U-3 Wilton Milan 7 10-7 Dan Skelton Harry Skelton 130
A seven-year-old bay gelding trained by Dan Skelton.
This seven-year-old seems to be well exposed and the handicapper seems to have his mark.
Rarely runs a bad race but often finds one or two too good for him.
3 wins from 18 starts (one from 13 in chases) on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 2 1/2 miles (has one over 3 miles in point to points).

11 1230P- The Ould Lad 7 10-2 Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies 125
A seven-year-old bay gelding trained by Paul Nicholls.
Ran really well in the early part of last season but quickly lost his form at Cheltenham and in April Sandown meeting. A very interesting runner and looks to be the type that could have considerable improvement to come.
His best run is probably came in a grade 3 at Chepstow where although he was a long way behind the winner he did run really well.
He has now changed stables and is with Paul Nicholls. It is expected that the change of stable may do him some good and he has been strongly supported in the betting market.
To wins from 11 starts (two from eight in chases) on ground ranging from good to soft through to yielding and up to a distance of 2 miles 6 1/2 furlongs (has won a point-to-point over 3 miles).

12 11F4U- Royal Palladium 7 9-13 Venetia Williams Alain Cawley 122
A seven-year-old grey gelding trained by Venetia Williams.
A nice enough hurdler who when changed to novice chasing looked very promising winning his first three chases by good distances. He then took a fall and that must have dented his confidence because he ran poorly on the following two times with that culminating in unseating his rider at the Cheltenham Festival.
Despite this he looks like an interesting runner of good enough form, if his confidence is back he could run well today at a big price.
3 wins from 15 starts (three from six in chases) on ground ranging from good to soft through to soft and up to a distance of 3 miles.

13 2476-4 Alfie Spinner 10 9-13 Nick Williams Will Kennedy 122
A 10-year-old bay gelding trained by Nick Williams.
A nice but well exposed chaser who has been running in good quality races.
Difficult to recommend with confidence as he often finds a few too good in the race for him and he is taking a step up today.
Not impossible for him to be involved in the finish today but there are many others with what seem like better chances on form.
3 wins from 36 starts (one from 23 in chases) on ground ranging from soft through to heavy and up to a distance of 2 miles 7 1/2 furlongs.
