The_2015_Race

A fascinating top class race in store today with one of the top 3-year-olds Jack Hobbs taking his chance. Unbeaten but for two runs against his stable mate Golden Horn he would seem to have everything going for him in this race however his trainer would have liked a low draw so as he has been drawn 12 of 13 he will need some luck in running or will his class get him through?

After her ninth place in the Arc where so she had no chance after being bumped early in the race Found comes here in fine form. She has the class to win here and also will be getting all the weight allowances for being a 3-year old filly. A strong chance indeed.

With good French and a German horse running here this looks a fascinating prospect on a card that is full of class in every race.

List_of_runners

NUMBER DRAW FORM NAME AGE WEIGHT TRAINER JOCKEY RATING

1 10 31-313 Air Pilot 6 9-5 Ralph Beckett Harry Bentley 111
A six-year-old bay gelding trained by Ralph Beckett.
A Group 3 winner taking a considerable step up in class today.
He will do well to get into the frame with his smart opponents today.
4 wins from 10 starts on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs.

2 7 11251 Fascinating Rock 4 9-5 D K Weld Pat Smullen 120
A four-year-old bay colt trained by Dermot Weld.
A multiple Group 3 winner who was a really good second against the smart Al Kazeem at the Curragh back in May. That was a Group 1 race and he was only a quarter of the length behind the winner that day. He was not so good out at Windsor in a Group 3 when a strongly fancied favourite. He put that behind him in his next run which was his latest when winning a Group 3 at Leopardstown on yielding ground over 2 furlongs further than today.
Will have to improve to be in the shakeup here.
6 wins from 11 starts on ground ranging from yielding through to heavy and up to distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs.

3 2 11243 Lightning Spear 4 9-5 Olly Stevens Oisin Murphy 115
A four-year-old chestnut colt trained by Olly Stevens.
A consistent handicap winner who was stepped up to Group class at Ascot over a mile back in July when he finished a good second to the smart Arod.
He has since not looked so good in Group class and will need great improvement to be in the shakeup today.
4 wins from seven starts on ground ranging from good to firm through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and half a furlong.

4 13 15110 Maverick Wave 4 9-5 John Gosden Robert havlin 112
A four-year-old chestnut colt trained by John Gosden.
What looks like an average handicaper he raised his game by winning a Group 3 at Chester back in May. He went across to America to run in the Arlington million and finished last. He is another will have to improve massively to win here today.
6 wins from 14 starts on ground ranging from good to firm through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.

5 4 1-1421 The Corsican 4 9-5 David Simcock Jamie Spencer 116
A four-year-old bay colt trained by David Simcock.
A nice consistent four-year-old colt who is trying a Group one race for the second time at this course. He was fourth in the Prince of Wales stakes here on 17 June. Although he ran well that day he will have to improve again to be in the shakeup here. He does look the type that may have some improvement in him and has steadily been getting better throughout the season. His last win in a Group 3 at Newbury was a good performance and he was still staying on. The trip will be no problem but this course may not suit him.
5 wins from nine starts on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 3 furlongs.

6 11 144515 Tullius 7 9-5 Andrew Balding Jimmy Fortune 114
A seven-year-old chestnut gelding trained by Andrew Balding.
A Group 2 winner who consistently runs in Group company. Has plenty of experience and his belt having run 13 times.
Possibly one of his best runs was back in July at the York meeting where he won in good style over this distance on good to firm ground. He can act on any going and although this is quite a step up he did run well at this meeting last year where he was fourth in the Queen Elizabeth II stakes over a mile.
Winner of 10 from 13 starts on ground ranging from good to firm through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile 2 1/2 furlongs.

7 5 117-11 Vadamos 4 9-5 A Fabre Vicent Cheminaud 115
A 4-year-old bay colt trained by Andre Fabre.
A fine consistent Group winner who rarely puts in a bad race.
He will be coming over to this country for the first time and looks a very smart contender. He will need to improve on what he's done so far but his wins have come at good winning distances. Looks a very interesting runner not without a chance.
5 wins from 10 starts on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs.

8 6 2-3361 Ribbons 5 9-2 James Fanshawe Frankie Dettori 112
A five-year-old chestnut mare trained by James Fanshawe.
A Group 1 winning mare and a really consistent. Her most recent run in the Blandford stakes in Ireland was a good performance beating Tapestry.
Not without a chance here today and has Frankie Dettori on board whom she seems to run well for.
7 wins from 13 starts on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of

9 12 12211 Jack Hobbs 3 9-0 John Gosden William Buick 123
A three-year-old Brown colt trained by John Gosden.
Top-class consistent Group one winner this horse is bound to be at the head of the market.
He has a lot of class and has winning form over this distance. He would be unbeaten other than he has come up against his stables wonder horse Golden Horn on two occasions.
He was second in the Derby and then went across to Ireland three weeks later and won the Irish Derby.
He is full of class and looks the likely winner. The only doubt perhaps is that his trainer has gone on record saying that he thinks he has an unlucky draw.
4 wins from six starts on ground ranging from good to firm through to soft and up to a distance of one mile and 4 furlongs.

10 9 61214 Palace Prince 3 9-0 Andreas Lowe Silvestre De Sousa 111
A three-year-old Brown or bay colt trained by Andreas Lowe.
German raider who looks as if he does not have the class to win this race. Will need a massive jump in form to win here today.
Winner of three from eight starts on ground ranging from good through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.

11 1 0-111 Racing History 3 9-0 Saeed bin Suroor James Doyle 112
A three-year-old bay colt trained by Saeed bin Suroor.
A smart and improving three-year-old whose latest run was a good win in a Group 3.
He is unbeaten this season and is something of an unknown. A lot has to be taken on trust but his last race over a mile and a half Windsor was a Group 3 in which he ran really well and perhaps won a little cosily.
Perhaps we have not seen the best of this horse yet.
Winner of three from four starts on ground ranging from good through to good to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile 2 1/2 furlongs.

12 3 111562 Sumbal 3 9-0 F-H Graffard Christophe Sumillion 114
A three-year-old grey colt trained by F-H Graffard.
Another French raider who although he has run well does not look up to the class of this race today.
3 wins from six starts on ground ranging from soft through to heavy and up to a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.

13 8 222129 Found 3 8-11 A P OŽBrien Ryan Moore 118
A three-year-old bay filly trained by Aidan O'Brien.
Top-class filly and Group 1 winner this horse gets all the allowances in this race today. She was ninth in the Pri de l' Arc de Triomphe but connections thought should did not get any sort of a run that day. She comes here in fine form and looks to have a really strong chance if she gets the trip, and going on there last run she looks like with a good run she should have no problems.
She certainly one of the fancied runners and would be no surprise should she win here today.
3 wins from nine starts on ground ranging from good to firm through to soft and up to a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.
