NUMBER FORM NAME AGE WEIGHT TRAINER JOCKEY RATING

1 4396U- Houblon Des Obeaux 7 11-12 Venetia Williams Aidan Coleman 157
A grade 3 Chase winner who likes some cut in the ground and could go well here today.
Has to carry a lot of weight and therefore could be vulnerable to younger horses.

2 1310P- Triolo D´Alene 7 11-12 Nicky Henderson Barry Geraghty 157
A smart and progressive seven-year-old gelding and winner of this race last year.
He stayed on strongly last year to beat his field by over two lengths however he was not seen again until Cheltenham Festival where he finished 10th of 13. Went on to run in the National and was pulled up.
Could start at big odds today

3 225-2 Rocky Creek 8 11-11 Paul Nicholls Sam Twiston-Davies 156
A Grade 2 Chase winner, this is a really fine bay gelding. Likes some cut in the ground and that should suit today and he was second in this race last year and he had to give the winner four pounds, this year he gets a pound from him.
With the Paul Nicholls stable coming into a bit of form is a very interesting runner indeed.

4 P13-2 Ballynagour 8 11-10 David Pipe Tom Scudamore 155
A nice French import into the David pipe yard. He was the winner of last season’s Byrne Group Plate at the Cheltenham Festival. He won that race really easily and had some smart horses in behind.

5 U112- Smad Place 7 11-10 Alan King Denis O'Regan 155
A Really Good Hurdler Who Is Turning in to a Good Chaser. A Winner at This Course over 3 Miles and Was a Really Good Second in the RSA Chase at the Festival Last Season.
First Time out Today and I Would Guess He Will Be Strongly Fancied.

6 O/11-5 Fingal Bay 8 11-8 Philip Hobbs Richard Johnson 153
A Really Smart Hurdler and the Winner of Last Seasons Pertemps Network Final at the Cheltenham Festival.
One Run This Season in a Grade One Hurdle Race in Ireland Where He Was Disappointing and He Is Now returning over Fences.

7 PP02-7 Vino Griego28 9 11-7 Gary Moore Jamie Moore 152
A Nice Enough Listed Chase Winner but He Looks Out Of His Depth Here Today.

8 12B4-1 Many Clouds 7 11-6 Oliver Sherwood Leighton Aspell 151
A good progressive chaser who comes here today on the back of a nice win albeit over 2 1/2 miles at Carlisle on 2nd of November.
Comes here today strongly fancied by the stable and could have the right of the profile for this race

9 31838- Unioniste 6 11-6 Paul Nicholls Noel Fehily 151
A really good novice who was third in last season’s Charlie Hall Chase. After that run he put up a good winning performance in a listed Chase at Aintree however he was not the same after that run. A good progressive horse who is another who could be the right sort for this race however you would like to see him run one good run before recommending him.

10 4157-2 Monbeg Dude 9 11-1 Michael Scudamore Paul Moloney 146
Winner of the 2012 Coral Welsh National (which was run in January 2013). He was strongly fancied in his next races and put up a good grade 3 win at the Cheltenham December meeting. He was then aimed at the Grand National where he finished a respectable seventh position. One run so far this season which will put him spot on for today.

11 2128-3 Annacotty 6 11-1 Martin Keighley Gavin Sheehan 146
Winner of a Grade 1 novice Chase at Kempton in December last year this horse then went on to be eighth in the RSA Chase. Has run once this season in a graduation Chase where he finished third of four runners.
Looks to have it all to do here today.

12 65P-11 What A Warrior 7 10-11 Dan Skelton Harry Skelton 142
A reasonable chaser who has run twice this season showing very much improved form.
He was a 10 length winner in a handicap Chase at Ludlow and then a good winner over 3 miles at ascot.
He is taking on much better company today and will have to show a fair bit of improvement but is only seven years old and improvement should come. Maybe this will be his year.

13 4/11F- Djakadam 5 10-11 W P Mullins R Walsh 142
A really nice progressive sort who won a Grade 2 novice Chase last year. He was going really well at the festival in the JLT novices Chase when he fell 3 from home.
Has class and looks to be a bit special. he comes from the high-class Willie Mullins yard and will have a Ruby Walsh on board today. Sure to be well supported in the market and rightly so, could well be a worthy favorite.

14 F2P-12 The Druids Nephew 7 10-10 Neil Mulholland Davy Russell 141
A reasonable sort of chaser who was shown improved form this season winning a handicap Chase first time out by 12 lengths and then was second at Cheltenham in a Grade 3 handicap Chase to the very smart Sam Winner (although he was a beaten favorite that day).
Another young improver.

15 F11F-3 Wychwoods Brook 8 10-10 Evan Williams Adam Wedge 141
A Grade 2 Chase winner (Peter Marsh Chase) and comes here after a hurdle prep race.
Looks to have it all to do today.

16 1U211- Midnight Prayer 9 10-10 Alan King Tom Bellamy5 141
A progressive sort of horse who finished last season with a really good win in the amateur riders novice Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. He is nine years old and should be at the top of his form. He did have the best season that he'd had to date last season and if he continues to improve he could make the frame.

17 1141-1 Via Sundown 6 10-9 Gary Moore Joshua Moore 140
A nice handicapper who has some good form, however not necessarily in this class of race.
Looks a little out of his class here today but is a young horse and should have plenty of improvement to come.

18 34P2-1 Le Reve 6 10-8 Lucy Wadham Dougie Costello 139
A nice young horse who could be anything but should not live with some of these on the form that we've seen so far.

19 53P4-3 Merry King 7 10-7 Jonjo O´Neill A P McCoy 138
A very interesting runner from the Jonjo O'Neill yard. He was fifth in last season's Welsh Grand National and was fourth in the Scottish Grand National looks very much a long distance chaser with stamina in reserve. Interesting that Tony McCoy is riding today and is bottom weight on 10 stone 7 pounds. He could be a player today.
