Epsom

The Oaks traditionally is the third of the five English classic flat races for three year old thoroughbred horses.

The race is open to fillies only and is run in late May or early June at Epsom Downs racecourse.

The race is run at the same meeting as another classic race which is the equivalent race for all three year olds which is The Derby

Bye Bye Baby is a bay filly by Galileo. Winner of a Group 3 at the Curragh recently was impressive. More needed today. One of four entries by Aiden O'Brien.

Frankel Filly Ejtyah was 3rd in the Group 3 Musidora stake, that does not look good enough today.

Flattering is another Galileo filly and looks like the outsider of the O'Brien quartet. Her 3rd in an Oaks trial does not look good enough.

Forever Together is the third Galileo filly. A good third at Chester in the Cheshire Oaks behind Magic Wand. Nice horse but difficult to see a reverse of those placings, but the longer trip may help.

Good recent winner of the Musidora recently, Give And Take. More needed now but she is improving.

I Can Fly was well beaten in the 1000 Guineas. Improvement needed and uncertain if step up in trip will suit?

Magic Wand is the best of the O'Brien runners. A Galileo filly. Last run impressive win in Cheshire Oaks. Trip looks likely to suit. One of the leading contenders.

Only unbeaten entrant today, Perfect Clarity was very impressive in the Lingfield Oaks trial. More to come and needed. Good chance in this competitive race.

Wild Illusion was 4th in the 1000 Guineas and is a Group 1 Winner in France last season. Good chance today over this trip.

The betting market sees to have it right with Wild Illusion and Magic Wand looking the best today, and with Wild Illusion's Group 1 form she looks to be the pick. Perfect Clarity could be the one to take a bigger price.
